Parents and children over ten years old need to sign ICCCI Chinese School Student Code of Conduct Consent Form and return it with the registration form. The student registration will be deemed incomplete without a signed copy of this document. It is of utmost importance that we respect the school properties and that students exhibit proper behavior towards teachers and fellow classmates.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c10\">Violations<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p class=\"c1\"><span class=\"c6\">The following behaviors are considered inappropriate for students. However, these are only examples of inappropriate behaviors; other offenses will be dealt with on an individual basis.<\/span><\/p><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c9\">LEVEL 1<\/span><\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"c13 lst-kix_list_1-0 start\"><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Playing or tempering with school properties in classrooms and hallways<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c7 c8 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Tardiness<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Unexcused absence(s)<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Classroom disruptions (talking or walking around the room without permission)<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">School disruptions (misbehaving in the classroom, cafeteria, or hallways)<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Entering unauthorized sections of the school<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c9\">LEVEL 2<\/span><\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"c13 lst-kix_list_2-0 start\"><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Damaging and\/or destroying school property (equipments, supplies, etc.) or school displays (including but not limited to art displays, student projects)<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Stealing; possessing stolen property on school grounds<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Bullying, which is defined as is defined as overt, repeated acts or gestures, including:<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"c1 c7\"><span class=\"c6\">(1) verbal or written communication transmitted;<\/span><\/p><p class=\"c1 c7\"><span class=\"c6\">(2) physical acts committed; or<\/span><\/p><p class=\"c1 c7\"><span class=\"c6\">(3) any other behaviors committed by a student or group of students against another student with the intent to harass, ridicule, humiliate, or harm the other student.<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"c13 lst-kix_list_2-0\"><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Failure to comply with instructions and\/or warnings from teachers, PTO volunteers on duty, or school administrators.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Having or using tobacco products or look-alikes<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Engaging in aggressive behaviors such as fighting, pushing, hitting, etc.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Leaving class\/campus without permission<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Repeated LEVEL 1 violations<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c9\">LEVEL 3 (Serious Misbehavior)<\/span><\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"c13 lst-kix_list_3-0 start\"><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Vandalism of school property<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Fighting or any careless\/harmful action which causes injury to a person or persons and\/or damages property<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Threatening school staff or students with violence<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Using, selling, or possessing alcohol, drugs, drug-related items, or look-alikes on school grounds<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Possessing weapons or dangerous objects<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Setting fire on any part of school property<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Sending bomb threats or false fire alarms<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Committing crimes or illegal conduct at school or at school activities<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Repeated LEVEL 2 violations<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c10\">Disciplinary Actions<\/span><\/strong><\/p><p class=\"c1\"><span class=\"c6\">The school&#8217;s administrators will consider the seriousness and cause of the offense as well as the attitude of the student when determining the consequences for students who commits violations list above. The following disciplinary actions will be taken:<\/span><\/p><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c9\">LEVEL 1, 2 or 3<\/span><\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"c13 lst-kix_list_4-0 start\"><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Correction and\/or counseling by the teacher<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Telephone call or letter to the parents by the teacher<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Referral to school administrators<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Referral to principal who may counsel the student and\/or contact the parents<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">An agreement among the student, the parent(s), and ICCCI Chinese School administrators of specific behavior improvement and changes<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Detention<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Reimbursement of cost suffered by ICCCI Chinese School<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c9\">LEVEL 2 or 3<\/span><\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"c13 lst-kix_list_5-0 start\"><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Suspension (removal from school for a period of time without tuition refund)<\/span><\/li><\/ul><p class=\"c1\"><strong><span class=\"c9\">LEVEL 3<\/span><\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"c13 lst-kix_list_5-0\"><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Referral to law enforcement officer<\/span><\/li><li class=\"c1 c8 c7 li-bullet-0\"><span class=\"c6\">Expulsion (permanent removal from school without tuition refund)<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Student Code of Conduct ICCCI Chinese School Student Code of Conduct The following is a Student Code of Conduct that we ask both parents and students to review carefully.
