学生守则

The following is a Student Code of Conduct that we ask both parents and students to review carefully. Parents and children over ten years old need to sign ICCCI Chinese School Student Code of Conduct Consent Form and return it with the registration form. The student registration will be deemed incomplete without a signed copy of this document. It is of utmost importance that we respect the school properties and that students exhibit proper behavior towards teachers and fellow classmates.

Violations

The following behaviors are considered inappropriate for students. However, these are only examples of inappropriate behaviors; other offenses will be dealt with on an individual basis.

LEVEL 1

  • Playing or tempering with school properties in classrooms and hallways
  • Tardiness
  • Unexcused absence(s)
  • Classroom disruptions (talking or walking around the room without permission)
  • School disruptions (misbehaving in the classroom, cafeteria, or hallways)
  • Entering unauthorized sections of the school

LEVEL 2

  • Damaging and/or destroying school property (equipments, supplies, etc.) or school displays (including but not limited to art displays, student projects)
  • Stealing; possessing stolen property on school grounds
  • Bullying, which is defined as is defined as overt, repeated acts or gestures, including:

(1) verbal or written communication transmitted;

(2) physical acts committed; or

(3) any other behaviors committed by a student or group of students against another student with the intent to harass, ridicule, humiliate, or harm the other student.

  • Failure to comply with instructions and/or warnings from teachers, PTO volunteers on duty, or school administrators.
  • Having or using tobacco products or look-alikes
  • Engaging in aggressive behaviors such as fighting, pushing, hitting, etc.
  • Leaving class/campus without permission
  • Repeated LEVEL 1 violations

LEVEL 3 (Serious Misbehavior)

  • Vandalism of school property
  • Fighting or any careless/harmful action which causes injury to a person or persons and/or damages property
  • Threatening school staff or students with violence
  • Using, selling, or possessing alcohol, drugs, drug-related items, or look-alikes on school grounds
  • Possessing weapons or dangerous objects
  • Setting fire on any part of school property
  • Sending bomb threats or false fire alarms
  • Committing crimes or illegal conduct at school or at school activities
  • Repeated LEVEL 2 violations

Disciplinary Actions

The school’s administrators will consider the seriousness and cause of the offense as well as the attitude of the student when determining the consequences for students who commits violations list above. The following disciplinary actions will be taken:

LEVEL 1, 2 or 3

  • Correction and/or counseling by the teacher
  • Telephone call or letter to the parents by the teacher
  • Referral to school administrators
  • Referral to principal who may counsel the student and/or contact the parents
  • An agreement among the student, the parent(s), and ICCCI Chinese School administrators of specific behavior improvement and changes
  • Detention
  • Reimbursement of cost suffered by ICCCI Chinese School

LEVEL 2 or 3

  • Suspension (removal from school for a period of time without tuition refund)

LEVEL 3

  • Referral to law enforcement officer
  • Expulsion (permanent removal from school without tuition refund)
