The dragon is one  of the most important cultural symbols of the Chinese nation. For thousands of years, it has represented strength, prosperity, good fortune, and unity. During Chinese New Year celebrations, festivals, harvest events, and major community gatherings, dragon dances have long been among the most beloved traditional performances. Accompanied by the powerful rhythms of drums, cymbals, and gongs, a dragon appears to soar through the sky and ripple like waves across the sea, captivating audiences and showcasing the vitality and beauty of Chinese culture.

Founded in 200x, the ICCCI Dragon Dance Team of the Indianapolis Chinese Community Center (ICCCI) has been dedicated to preserving and promoting Chinese cultural heritage while sharing its richness with the broader American community. For more than two decades, the team has participated in numerous cultural festivals, community celebrations, and major parades, becoming one of the most recognizable and respected Chinese cultural performance groups in Indiana.

Over the years, the ICCCI Dragon Dance Team has proudly participated in many prestigious events, including the Indy 500 Parade, the Chicago McDonald’s Thanksgiving Parade, the Chicago Chinatown Chinese New Year Parade, the CarmelFest Parade, and many other community celebrations throughout the Midwest.
